Daily Snack and Water-
I allow the students to drink their water throughout the day. Plain water is the only beverage allowed in class in case it spills on their work or the carpet. Water bottles also need to have a spout or pop top that prevents spilling. I suggest filling the water bottle full of ice before adding water to keep it cool and refreshing for as long as possible. Water bottles will be sent home daily and have to be filled up at home before coming to school to save the time it would take everyone to fill it up.
The Wishing Pond-
This year, I have identified some areas of need for my classroom. You will find a “wishing pond” right outside my classroom. Please take a frog if you would be willing to purchase that item for our classroom. Any donations to the classroom are greatly appreciated! Also, please be on the lookout for any free or very inexpensive new or used books that we could add to our classroom library! Thank you so much for your support!! Below is a list in case you don’t get a chance to stop by school.
- gift cards to any of the following places: Wal-Mart, Staples, Hobby Lobby, School Box
- colored cardstock
- white cardstock
- paper plates, plastic utensils
- baby wipes
- prizes for the prize bag
- mini fridge
Birthdays-
I welcome parents bringing in or sending goodies for student birthdays. Just let me know ahead of time and we will work out a time. Most often, parents bring something during lunch. Also, I ask that if you are inviting students to a birthday party outside of school and are not inviting all of the students (which I completely understand), please do not send invitations to be handed out in class so that none of the students have hurt feelings. Perhaps you can invite by phone or mail invitations. Thank you so much for understanding. : )
